- After discharge from your surgical admission leave dressings intact unless directed by your Surgeon.
- You can shower as per normal and gently pat dry the wound. If you develop increasing pain, redness or discharge please seek advice from your Surgeon, Hospital ward staff or your General Practitioner.
- At discharge, you will be either given an appointment for follow up with your Surgeon or advised to contact the rooms during the business hours to make an appointment in the next one to two weeks.
- For advice you can contact our rooms at any time during business hours.
- After hours, if you need urgent advice you can contact the Specialist via the hospital switchboard. If you are unable to contact your Specialist and you need urgent attention please present to the nearest Emergency department.
